SPINDLE BEARING As you may or may not know. Bearing prices are going through the roof. Two causes are, The Asian market is buying up all the bearing grade steel!! and the devaluation of the Dollar. I sell only high quality bearings. Thanks to my supplier I have been able to hold my prices for the past two years. Replace your noisy or worn out spindle bearings. Bring your spindle run-out back to spec. ( .0005" ). Exact metric replacements. Your DB/SL will hum like new! Instructions included. There are two bearings and 2 ( two ) pre-load washers in the spindle cartrige.

The most common is marked: Unimat 12 X 1, (Jacobs style chuck), In Stock
Another is it marked: Emco E6G. ( Rohm style chuck ), In Stock

Received an email from David Green. He just installed a set of the cheap bearings sold on Ebay. "The races had a visibly poor finish, and when I installed them they were nearly as noisy as the 50 year old bearings I was replacing. They are junk. You can put this on your website."

Bearings run in old dried grease, improper grease or no grease, will cause brinelling of the bearing race and or balls. Brinelling leads to noise. Once noisy no amount of lubrication can change this.
